Dubois County Libertarians set to host convention

The Libertarian Party of Dubois County is hosting the 2022 convention for state convention delegates and local candidates for local offices on February 12, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. at the Jasper Public Library, Cherry Room A.

For those interested to watch and learn about the third political party in Dubois County, the public is welcome to attend, watch and meet the candidates. Those seeking office that have not yet committed to a party are also welcome to attend to learn more.

You must be a member of the Libertarian Party of Indiana to vote and be nominated for local office. Candidates nominated and voted in approval do not show up on the primary ballot, as the taxpayer-funded primary election is only for Republicans and Democrats. Libertarian candidates are placed directly on the general ballot.

Three federal candidates for the Libertarian nomination to the US Senate and US House will also be in attendance; William Henry – US Senate candidate; James Sceniak – US Senate candidate; Andrew Horning – US House candidate for 8th District.
