Dubois County Leadership Academy team makes donation to Dove House

The Dubois County Leadership Academy Dove House Team from the 2023 session has completed their capstone project.

On January 21, 2025, the team presented a check for $2,980 to Megan Durlauf, Director of Operations at The Dove House in Jasper.

Initially, the team planned to create a gathering space with a small playground for families visiting The Dove House. However, due to unforeseen contracting issues with a donor, the focus shifted. After discussions with Megan Durlauf, the team learned about The Dove House’s urgent need for reliable transportation.

Currently, The Dove House staff relies on a vehicle from their Indianapolis house that lacks air conditioning and heating and is not dependable. Under Megan’s leadership, the staff is working with local organizations to raise funds for a new vehicle. This generous donation from the DCLA Dove House Team marks an incredible start toward achieving that goal.
