Dubois County Humane Society announces new director
The Dubois County Humane Society (DCHS) announced the appointment of Jordan Wehr as its new Executive Director.

Jordan brings nearly 14 years of hands-on animal-welfare experience to DCHS, along with a long history of service to the organization. For more than a decade, community members have seen her volunteering in the shelter, assisting in the office, and representing DCHS at numerous community events. Her commitment to animal care and advocacy is long-standing and widely recognized.
Jordan also brings a strong professional background to the role. For the past 10 years, she has served as Director of Therapy at a local healthcare center, where she has overseen day-to-day operations, team support, and organizational stability. Her combination of operational leadership, strategic thinking, and genuine compassion makes her uniquely well-suited to guide DCHS into its next chapter. The Board is confident that her leadership will be instrumental as DCHS continues to grow and pursue new opportunities and focused initiatives.
At the heart of all DCHS initiatives is a deep appreciation for the Dubois County community. The organization wishes to extend sincere gratitude to the donors, volunteers, and supporters whose generosity makes our work and mission possible. On behalf of the Board, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported us and we are very excited for the future of animal welfare in Dubois County!
