Dubois County Historical Society seminar to reveal new findings about Buffalo Trace Trail

The Dubois County Historical Society will meet at 6:30 EDT on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the Dubois County Museum, 2704 N Newton St, Jasper.

A catered dinner will be served.

The program will feature David Drake sharing new findings on the Buffalo Trace Trail, focusing on the years of 1800 through 1815. Drake is the author of the 2023 booklet, The Buffalo Trace. The booklet covers the Trace from the Falls of Ohio at Clarksville to the Wabash at Vincennes with specific detail on Dubois, Pike and Knox counties.

The meeting will also include a discussion of the society’s activities for the America 250 celebration. Members present will receive a custom challenge coin created for the “Revolutionary Rendezvous Dubois County” event held earlier this year.
