Dubois County GOP reorganizes

The Dubois County Republican Precinct Committee met and elected officers on Saturday morning.

The group met at 9:00 am at the Jasper Train Depot to elect officers for the next four years. The County Committee officers selected this past Saturday were Don Hayes, Chairman; Jennifer Thacker, Vice-Chairman; Christine Prior, Secretary; and, Eric Schue, Treasurer.

Chairman Hayes and Vice-Chairman Thacker will participate in the reorganization of the 8th District Republican Committee on Saturday, March 9th. The newly elected District Chairmen and Vice-Chairmen of the State’s nine district organizations will elect State Republican Committee Officers on March 13th.

The Republican Party is a grassroots organization with Precinct Committeemen, elected by the voters of the county’s 40 precincts at the May 2012 Primary, empowered to organize a county Republican Committee.
