Dubois County food inspections for March 2021
The following inspection reports are from inspections conducted in March of 2021.
Inspection results from the Dubois County Health Department are published publicly after the restaurants and food stores have had 10 days to respond. Violations are corrected on the day of the inspection unless otherwise noted.

Baker’s Corner, French Lick — No violations observed at time of inspection.
Dutch Mart – Blesch Sales and Service, Holland — One noncritical violation: observed food being stored on the floor of walk-in freezer (corrected).
Chicken Place, Ireland — One critical violation: Ready-to-eat prepped items in fridges need to have dates.
China Wok, Huntingburg — One critical violation: Handsink had plastic bags in it. One noncritical violation: food throughout facility is being stored in containers that are not for food storage (repeat violation).
Chuckles #21, Dubois — Two noncritical violations: Observed mops not being hung to dry; observed debris/dirt buildup in reach-in coolers on northwest facing wall.
Citgo, Northside, 2707 Newton Street, Jasper — One critical violation: White refrigerator ready-to-eat foods without dates (repeat violation). One noncritical violation: Back room by office has multiple items unnecessary for operation.
Days Inn of Jasper, Jasper — No violations observed at time of inspection.
Dollar General Store #7817, Ferdinand — No violations observed at time of inspection.
Dollar Tree #01349, Jasper — No violations observed at time of inspection.
Dairy Queen Grill & Chill, Huntingburg — One critical violation: Observed food items being stored on floor of walk-in freezer. One noncritical violation: Observed food/dirt/debris buildup behind fryer, grill, and stoves.
El Maguey Grill, 3570 N. Newton Street, Jasper — No violations observed at time of inspection.
Fazoli’s, Jasper — Three critical violations: Observed food/dirt/debris buildup throughout restaurant floors, walk-in coolers, refrigeration units, and prep stations (repeat violation); observed many food items in walk-in refrigerator without proper dating system; observed lettuce and tomato being held at 55 degrees F when appropriate temperature is under 41 degrees F. Two noncritical violations: Observed water lines from ice machine are not suspended high enough from drain to comply with regulation (repeat violation); observed food/debris buildup in microwave oven.
Hampton Inn, Jasper — No violations observed at time of inspection.
Hardee’s Restaurant, Jasper — No violations observed at time of inspection.
Headquarters, Jasper — Two noncritical violations: Containers holding dry ingredients in storage area need scooping utensils with handles (repeat violation); upright single door fridge in kitchen has a broken door gasket.
Tienda Mora, Inc., E. Fourth Street, Huntingburg — One critical violation: cutting boards are worn and large two handle knife is chipped. Two noncritical violations: hand sink was being blocked and had items in it; Meat slicer has heavy buildup.

Huntingburg Country Club, Huntingburg — No violations observed at time of inspection.
Jasper Marathon, 1908 N. Newton Street, Jasper — No violations observed at time of inspection.

Birdseye Dairy Barn, Birdseye — Two critical violations: Hand sink being used to wash blending collars (repeat violation); Tomatoes, cheeses, prep salads, etc. being stored without dates (repeat violation). Two noncritical violations: Candies in the prep tables and ice bin have scoops sitting in products; Hoods above flat top and fryer have nothing to catch excess grease.
Windmill Chill, Holland — Okay to operate.
Jasper Dog Haus, Inc., Jasper — No violations observed at time of inspection.
Happy Hour Bakery, Schnellville — One noncritical violation: observed water line from ice machine not suspended high enough from floor drain to be in regulation (corrected).
Gulf Coast Connect/ AB Seafood, Huntingburg — One critical violation: Temporary hand station was not setup at site.
Jasper Elementary School — No violations observed at time of inspection.
Dunkin’, Jasper — One noncritical violation: shelves in small drink fridge in the drive-thru area are lined with cardboard.
Chick-Fil-A Food Truck, Louisvillle — Okay to operate.
