Dubois County Election Board to conduct public test of election equipment

The Dubois County Election Board will hold a public meeting to conduct the public test of election equipment on Wednesday, September 24, at 1:00 p.m., according to a notice posted by the Dubois County Clerk’s Office.

The meeting will take place at the Dubois County Courthouse Annex, 602 Main St., Jasper, and is being held under Indiana Code 5-14-1.5-5, which governs public notice requirements for open meetings.

The equipment test comes ahead of the November 3, 2026 General Election. The voter registration deadline for that election is October 5, 2026, and the deadline to request an absentee ballot is 12 days before the election, on October 22, by 11:59 a.m.

Early voting begins Tuesday, October 6, at the Courthouse Annex, 602 Courthouse Square, Jasper, and continues through Monday, November 2, with expanding hours and additional sites added as the election nears:

  • Courthouse Annex, Jasper: Oct. 6–9, 8 a.m.–4 p.m. (Wednesdays until 6 p.m.); Oct. 12–30, 8 a.m.–4 p.m. (Wednesdays until 6 p.m.); Oct. 24 and 31, 8 a.m.–3 p.m.; Nov. 2, 8 a.m.–12 p.m.
  • 35th St. Fire Station, Jasper: Oct. 26–30, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; Oct. 24 and 31, 8 a.m.–3 p.m.
  • Huntingburg Event Center: Oct. 24, 7 a.m.–2 p.m.; Oct. 31, 8 a.m.–3 p.m.
  • Tri-County YMCA, Ferdinand: Oct. 24 and 31, 8 a.m.–3 p.m.
  • Birdseye Fire Station: Oct. 31, 8 a.m.–3 p.m.
  • St. Henry Community Club: Oct. 24, 8 a.m.–3 p.m.
  • Haysville Fire Department: Oct. 24, 8 a.m.–3 p.m.

On Election Day, Nov. 3, polls will be open countywide from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at nine locations: Jasper Moose Lodge, Thyen-Clark Cultural Center, St. Mary Community Center in Ireland, Huntingburg Event Center, Holland United Methodist Church, St. Anthony Community Center, Tri-County YMCA in Ferdinand, Dubois Ruritan Park, and Celestine Community Club. Dubois County voters may cast their ballot at any polling location in the county, regardless of home precinct.
