Dubois County Daughters of American Revolution earns several awards at Southwest District meeting

On Friday, August 9, 2024, the Dubois County chapter of NSDAR attended the annual Southwest District meeting in Vincennes, Indiana at the Green Activities Center on the Vincennes University campus.
The meeting was hosted by the Francis Vigo Chapter of Vincennes and led by the SW District Director Rebecca Speaker. State Regent Elaine Sholty and other state board members were also present.
Our chapter collected and donated 208 items at the event for distribution to veterans in need in Southwest Indiana and 807 were collected in total from other members attending.
The chapter was represented by Regent Buffy Keeley, Vice Regent/Secretary Christine Hildenbrand, Treasurer Karen Adams, Registrar and State American Indian Chair Paula Book, Leisa Lowery, Pat Riley, and prospective member Brittany Woody.
As a group and individually, we received a state and several national awards.
