On Friday, Dec 9, the Dubois County Community Foundation celebrated a ribbon cutting at their new location on McCrillus Street in Jasper.

Jasper Chamber President Diane Schwenk presented the Foundation with the customary first dollar from the Jasper Chamber of Commerce.

Past president Brad Seger was on hand to cut the ribbon for the new building. “I think the important thing to remember is that this new building was built through gifts and donations to the Foundation.”

The Dubois County Community Foundation had been located in nearby residence that the City of Jasper owns. According to Executive Director Marylin Weisheit the city had generously leased the building to the foundation for one dollar a year but the size and location were factors in building this new location. Weisheet feels that with the new building the foundation will be better able to engage the community and  accomplish its functions in the future.
