Dubois County Community Foundation announces grant awards
The Community Foundation recently awarded $54,600 in grants to support projects across Dubois County, addressing pressing local needs and enhancing the county’s quality of place.
Heitman House of Holland received a $15,000 grant for the restoration of the historic Heitman House in Holland to renovate a historically significant home into a public gathering place. Funded by: The Fund for Dubois County ($10,000), R.P. & Mary Olinger Endowment ($4,000), Holland Community Endowment ($1,000)
Holland Volunteer Fire Department received a $10,000 grant for the refurbishment of its pumper truck. Funded by: Community IMPACT Fund ($6,914.74), Holland Community Endowment ($1,085.26), R.P. & Mary Olinger Endowment ($2,000)
Northeast Dubois Girls Youth Softball received a $25,000 grant for upgrades to the field for youth and high school softball. Funded by: The Fund for Dubois County
VU Jasper Foundation received a $4,600 grant for the Vincennes University Jasper (VUJ) Mentoring Program for first-generation college-bound students. Funded by: The Fund for Dubois County.
