Dubois County Chamber awards third quarterly grant to Traditional Arts Today

The Dubois County Chamber of Commerce announced that Traditional Arts Today has been selected as the recipient of the Chamber’s Third Quarterly Grant, receiving a $500 nonprofit grant to support its community mural project in Ferdinand.

The Dubois County Chamber awards a $500 grant to a local nonprofit organization each quarter as part of its commitment to supporting projects that strengthen and enhance the Dubois County community.

Traditional Arts Today’s community mural is a wonderful example of how art can bring people together while adding beauty, character, and a sense of community pride to Ferdinand. Located on the Fleig’s Building at 314 W. 9th Street, the mural represents a collaborative effort to celebrate the community and the arts.

“We are excited to support Traditional Arts Today and this incredible community mural,” said Angie Hostetter, Executive Director of the Dubois County Chamber of Commerce. “Projects like this demonstrate what can happen when people come together with a shared vision. We are proud to invest in projects that make our communities stronger and more vibrant.”

The community is invited to join Traditional Arts Today and the Dubois County Chamber of Commerce this Saturday, October 10, at 10:00 a.m. for the dedication and ribbon-cutting of the community mural.

The Chamber encourages everyone to stop by, see the mural in person, and help celebrate the artists, volunteers, and community members who helped bring this project to life.

The event also takes place during Walktober, presented by the Ferdinand Merchants Association, making Saturday a great opportunity to get out, explore Ferdinand, support local businesses, and celebrate the community.

The Dubois County Chamber congratulates Traditional Arts Today on receiving the Third Quarterly Grant and looks forward to celebrating the completed mural with the community.
