Dubois County Chamber awards quarterly non-profit grant to Girls on the Run of Southwest Indiana

The Dubois County Chamber of Commerce awarded Girls on the Run of Southwest Indiana its quarterly nonprofit grant.
Girls on the Run of Southwest Indiana is dedicated to empowering young girls through evidence-based programming that combines social-emotional learning with physical activity. Girls on the Run of Southwest Indiana serves Dubois County by partnering with local elementary and middle schools to deliver structured, curriculum-based lessons. These programs are designed to build confidence, strengthen leadership skills, encourage healthy decision-making, and foster emotional resilience, all while promoting lifelong physical wellness.
“We are honored to support such a vibrant and impactful organization,” said Angie Sanchez-Hostetter, Director, Dubois County Chamber. “Girls on the Run continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young girls throughout our community.”
The Chamber’s $500 grant will be used to enhance the community experience at the organization’s upcoming Celebratory 5K, scheduled for April 25 in Jasper, Indiana. This event serves as a culminating celebration for program participants and brings together families, supporters, and community members.
Specifically, grant funding will support finish-line enhancements, event signage, and sponsor recognition elements to elevate the event into a highly visible and professional community celebration. Planned improvements include branded signage, photo backdrop materials, and recognition displays highlighting community partners.
The Dubois County Chamber of Commerce remains committed to supporting local non-profits and businesses that contribute to the growth, wellness, and vitality of the community.
