Dubois County Advocacy for Prevention and Recovery (ARC) Council awards 2025 grants

The Dubois County Advocacy for Prevention and Recovery (ARC) Council, the county’s local coordinating council reporting to the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI), has announced its 2025 grant awards, providing critical funding to local programs that address substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery support throughout the community.

Grant decisions for 2025 were made by members of the ARC Executive Committee, ensuring a thoughtful and strategic approach to funding local initiatives.

This year’s funding was distributed across three key focus areas, with a total of $36,431.54 awarded to programs that support the people of Dubois County:

Prevention and Education: Supports initiatives aimed at reducing substance use through early intervention, youth programming, education, and community awareness efforts.

Treatment and Intervention: Assists programs providing direct services, resources, and support to individuals seeking treatment or navigating recovery, helping reduce barriers to care and improve outcomes.

Criminal Justice Services: Strengthens collaborations between the justice system and treatment providers, promoting accountability while prioritizing recovery, rehabilitation, and public safety.

Mission: Empowering Communities, Transforming Lives: To fund essential resources and support to local organizations in Dubois County, enabling them to effectively combat substance misuse and promote long-term recovery.

Vision: Hope, Healing and Prevention: To foster an environment where local organizations are empowered with the resources and support needed to tackle substance misuse and promote lasting recovery.

Members of the public are invited to attend ARC’s monthly meetings, held on the second Tuesday of every month at 11 a.m. EST in the Hickory Rooms of the Jasper Public Library.

The Dubois County ARC Council is funded through court fees collected from individuals convicted of substance-related offenses in the county, as required by state statute, and collaborates with community partners to address substance use disorders through prevention, treatment, and recovery initiatives.
