Dubois County 4-H members finish well at state fair

Members of the Dubois County 4-H did very well at the Indiana State Fair this year.

In a rare occurance at the fair, three Dubois County participants were Sweepstakes winners. They were Jackson Clark in Computers, Gabriella Eck for Soil and Water Science, and Katherine Hurst in Woodworking.

Then, 18 4-Hers were Merit Award winners. This award is given to the entries that stand out among the 92 county entries in a given project. Merit Awards were earned by: Kathryn Brumfield: Foods Baked Cookies, Jackson Clark: Computer, Addison Clauss: Foods Baked No Yeast Biscuit, Gabriella Eck: Soil and Water Science, Madison Giesler: Home Environment, Travis Haug: Garden Potato, Jade Hoffman: Decorative Painting and Wearables, Alexa Hopf: Cake Decorating, Madison Hostetter: Cat Poster, Katherine Hurst: Woodworking, Audrey Jones: Photography, Kayla Knust: Reedcraft, Celia Neukam: Computer, Louisa Nino: Personality, Darby Patton: Foods Preserved Frozen Vegetable, Brandon Sermershein: Electric, Braelyn Wehr: Electric, Hannah Weyer: Woodcraft.
