Dr. Stephen Sample Appointed to Medical Staff at Memorial Hospital

Jasper – Emergency physician Stephen Sample, M.D. was recently appointed to the Active Medical Staff at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center. Dr. Sample received his medical degree at University of Louisville School of Medicine and completed a residency in emergency medicine at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Consortium in Texas. He is board certified in emergency medicine and a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians.

Previously, Dr. Sample was an attending physician at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, the military’s largest Emergency Medicine residency program. He served a six-month tour of duty as a Staff Emergency Physician at the Air Force Theater Hospital, which is the only Level 1 trauma center in Iraq. He was most recently on staff at RAF Lakenheath Hospital in the United Kingdom, and served a six-month tour of duty at Craig Joint Theater Hospital at Bagram Airbase in Afghanistan.
