Down to eight roads closed due to high water

Friday, the Dubois County Highway Department reported that eight county roads remain closed due to water levels from the Patoka River, White River, and several creeks — down from 10 closures in the previous update.

In District 1, Madison Township continues to see impacts from closures on CR 800 West, CR 150 South, and Ell Creek Road — several of which run adjacent to the Patoka River and Little Flat Creek. Boone Township also has four roads affected, with Portersville Bridge Road blocked north of the bridge in Daviess County due to the White River, Portersville Road West closed east of CR 500 West due to Rizzley Creek, CR 700 North closed east of Portersville Road, and CR 600 North closed west of 200 West — both due to Mill Creek.
