Douglas Alan Butler, 62, Celestine, passed away at 12:16 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at his home.

He was born in Jasper, Indiana on August 5, 1953 to Melvin and Jenny (Keller) Butler.

Doug was a graduate of Dubois High School Class of 1971. He was a construction worker for many years.

He is survived by two sons, Jeremy Butler and wife Amanda of Dale and Jason Butler of Jasper; mother, Jenny Butler of Celestine; two sisters, Joyce Linne of Dubois and Theresa Lampert and husband Mark of Huntingburg; three brothers, Morris Ray Butler of Dubois, Michael Butler of Jasper and Mark Butler of Clayton, Ind.; four grandchildren, Timothy, Tyler, Tessa and Damian.

He was preceded in death by his father Melvin Butler.

Visitation is noon until the 2:00 p.m. June, 26, 2016 at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel.

At 2 p.m. the same day, a Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held for Douglas Alan Butler at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper with burial to follow at a later date. Fr. Eugene Schmitt will officiate.
