Dorothy Matilda Weisman, 95
Dorothy Matilda Weisman, age 95, of Huntingburg, passed away at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 25, 2012 at The Waters of Huntingburg.
She was born July 20, 1916 in Huntingburg, Indiana to William and Ada (Vandiver) Bartelt. She was married to Hilbert Weisman on June 9, 1941 at Salem Church. Dorothy was a retired hairdresser and was the first fully licensed beautician in Huntingburg. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Hilbert Weisman, who died April 21, 1979; three brothers – Hugo Bartelt, Wilford Bartelt, and Elmer Bartelt who died of typhoid fever at the age of 15; and one sister, Helen (Cox) Lindauer.
She is survived by:

- Jane Weisman – Louisville, KY
- Mrs. James (Sue) Potter – Huntingburg, IN
by (10) grandchildren and (10) great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Dorothy Weisman will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.S.T., on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg. The Rev. Tom Wade will officiate the services.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00-8:00 p.m., on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to: Salem United Church of Christ or VistaCare Hospice.
