Dorothy H. Lind, 67

Dorothy H. Lind, 67, of Loogootee, Indiana, passed away at 8:55 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at her home.

She was born at Huntingburg, Indiana November 25, 1947 to Elmer and Ella (Hemmerlein) Wolf. She married Rick Lind on May 25, 1997 in Tennessee.

Dorothy was a graduate of Dubois High School Class of 1965. She retired from Kimball International after 35 years. She is a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church at the Dubois Crossroads and former member of the Jasper Moose Lodge #1175 and the Huntingburg Eagles. She enjoyed camping, fishing and reading, gardening and her flower garden.

She is survived by her husband, Rick Lind; two daughters, Denise Harder of Vincennes and Susie Thewes and husband, Paul, of Celestine; son,
Roy Gene Harder and wife, Jennifer, of Dubois; one stepson, Chad Lind and wife, Tisha, of Canon City, Colo.; five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sisters, Esther Fuhrman of Jasper and Alice Weisman and husband, Hoyt, of Dubois; Marlene Fuhrman and husband, Vic, of Shoals, Rosie Hoffman and husband,Roger,of Haysville; one brother, Bill Wolf and wife, Brenda, of Dubois.

Preceding her in death is one sister, Gladys Wolf and an infant brother John wolf.

Funeral services for Dorothy Lind will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 2014, in St. John’s Lutheran Church with burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery. The Rev. Mary Poston will officiate.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2014, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper. Visitation will also be held one hour before service on Sunday at the church.
