Dorothy Ebert, 85

Dorothy Ebert, 85 of Ferdinand died Thursday December 6, 2012 at her home in Ferdinand. She was born December 12, 1926 in Ferdinand to Jacob & Mary (Weyer) Dotterwich. She married Edwin Ebert on April 9, 1953 at the St. Meinrad Archabbey Church. He preceded her in death on August 26, 2004.

She retired from Aristocraft Cabinets in Ferdinand after 9 years, and she was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Ferdinand Parish, and its St. Annes Sodality, Ferdinand Daughters Of Isabella.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Leo Dotterwich, two half-brothers, Louis & Frank Fleck, three half-sisters, Verona Spraggs, Josephine Boehman, and Phillamina Malone.

Surviving are two sons, Gary (Becky) Ebert, Gervase (April) Ebert both of Ferdinand. Three daughters, Mrs. Joe (Janet) Lubbers of St. Anthony, Charlene Urbanic of Ferdinand, & Mrs. Clyde (Joan) Melton of Celestine. Thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. One sister, Cyrilla Schwindel of Ferdinand, one half-sister, Henrietta Bishoff of Louisville, Ky.

Funeral service 10:00 AM Monday at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday & 7:00 to 9:30 AM Monday at Becher Funeral Home, Ferdinand. Combined prayer service Sunday evening by St. Annes Sodality & Ferdinand D of I.
