Dorothy E. Foertsch, 94, Fulda

Dorothy E. Foertsch, 94, of Fulda, passed away at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.

Dorothy was born October 1, 1927 in Fulda to Paul and Elenora (Schulte) Schaeffer.

She married John Foertsch on June 17, 1970, in Tell City. He preceded her in death on September 16, 1979.

Dorothy was a member of St. Boniface Church in Fulda. She enjoyed quilting and tractor pulls. Dorothy loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as her dog, Lucky.

Dorothy is survived by four daughters, Judy (Allen) Scheerle, Diana (Stephen) Kress, Pam (Alan) Beck and Kathleen (Stephen) Vogler, all of Jasper; one son, Gerald (Yvonne) Engelbrecht of Jasper; sister-in-law, JoAnn Schaeffer;15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, John; two brothers, Norbert and Robert Schaeffer and two sisters, Alberta Keller and Lidwina Miller.

Funeral services will be Monday, May 23, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. CT in St. Boniface Church in Fulda. Visitation will Monday at the church from 9:00 a.m. CT until the time of services.

Burial will follow in Holy Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery.
