Dorothy Breitwieser, 84

Dorothy Breitwieser, age 84, of Birdseye passed away at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

She was born November 1, 1929 in Huntingburg to Emil and Hilda (Stieneker) Hanebutt.

Dorothy was united in marriage to Linus Breitwieser on October 15, 1953 at Salem Church in Huntingburg.

She was a homemaker, a former member of Grace Lutheran Church in Huntingburg and currently attended Anderson Valley Christian Church near Birdseye. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Linus Breitwieser, who passed away in 1994; and one sister, Margaret Hanebutt.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Betty (Ed) Allen of Birdseye; one brother and sister-in-law, Frederick (Kathleen) Hanebutt of Huntingburg; two sisters, Geneva Brang of Schnellville and Ruth Buechler of Huntingburg; and two grandchildren, Jim and George Allen.

Funeral services for Dorothy Breitwieser will be held at 2:00 p.m., EST, on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Immanuel Lutheran Hill Church Cemetery near Dubois.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2-8 p.m., on Saturday; and also from 1-2 p.m., on Sunday, prior to the funeral.
