Doris Mae Erwin, 94, Winslow

Doris Mae Erwin, 94, of Winslow, passed away at 3:51 a.m., on Friday, September 18, 2020, at Courtyard Health Care in Goshen, Indiana.

She was born December 20, 1925, in Pike County, Ind., to William A. and Maude (Coleman) Chumbley. She married Lawrence Ray Erwin in Shawneetown, Illinois in 1945. 

Doris was employed at Swifts and Purdue Farms. She enjoyed quilting and embroidery. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Ray Erwin; one son, Michael R. Erwin; one stepdaughter, Meris Ella Julian; one grandson and one stepgrandson.

Doris is survived by two daughters, Carol (Dawn) Rademacher of Goshen and Faye (Gary) Collins of Huntingburg; two stepchildren, Tom (Betty) Erwin of Jasper and Verturia Quiggins of Greenwood; six grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Doris Mae Erwin will be held at 2:00 p.m. EDT on Thursday, September 24, 2020, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Winslow.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., Thursday.
