Doris Louise Broeker, 85
Doris Louise Broeker, age 85, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 8:30 p.m., Friday, November 25, 2011 at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.
She was born March 31, 1926 in Stendal, Indiana to Oscar and Maggie (Rademacher) Sollman. Doris was married to Charles Dean “Trig” Broeker on December 25, 1956 at Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg. She was a retired cook and manager at V.F.W. Post #2366; was a volunteer worker at Christian Ministries of Huntingburg; and was a member of Salem United Church of Christ and the V.F.W. Post #2366 Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Charles Dean “Trig” Broeker, who died October 26, 2007; one son, Roger Braun, who died in 1999; and two brothers, Kenny Sollman and Leander Sollman.
She is survived by:

- Chester Sollman – Evansville, IN,
by (14) grandchildren and (19) great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Doris L. Broeker will be held at 2:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg. Pastor Don Giesmann will officiate the services.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 12:00-2:00 p.m., Tuesday, the day of the funeral.
