Doris J. Schroering, 81, Jasper

Doris J. Schroering, 81, of Jasper, passed away at 7:35 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Serenity Springs Senior Living at Northwood in Jasper.

Doris was born in Jasper on June 13, 1944, to Herbert and Loretta (Seger) Schroering. 

She was a 1962 graduate of Dubois High School.

Doris worked in housekeeping at Deaconess Memorial Healthcare Center.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, CHIRP, and the St. Ann’s Society,

She enjoyed playing cards, embroidery, and always lent a helping hand.

She is survived by two brothers, Maurice (Judy) Schroering and Donnie (Cathy) Schroering, both of Jasper; one sister, Sister Marilyn Schroering of Ferdinand; two sisters-in-law, Connie and Donna Schroering, both of Jasper, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by two sisters: Edna Schroering and Lou Alice Schroering, who died in infancy, and two brothers: Delmar and Ralph Schroering.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Doris J. Schroering will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 18, 2025, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the church on Monday. A rosary will be prayed at 8:45 a.m. prior to the visitation.
