Doris J. Klem, 90, Franklin (formerly Huntingburg)

Doris J. Klem, 90, of Franklin, Ind., formerly of Huntingburg, passed away at 10:15 p.m. on Sunday, September 2, 2018, at Franciscan Hospital in Indianapolis.

Doris was born on January 5, 1928, to Thomas and Nora (Sternberg) Oskins. She married Robert Klem on April 6, 1948, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg. He preceded her in death on January 13, 1994.

Doris was a homemaker and worked for the Park and Shop, and the City Cafe in Huntingburg. She was a Cincinnati Reds fan and enjoyed watching sports on TV and spending time with family.

She is survived by one son, Thomas Klem of Franklin; two grandchildren, Brian Klem (Marcy) of Franklin, Ind. and Stacy Arnold (Tim) of Indianapolis; seven great-grandchildren, Ethan, Jackson, Lauren and Taylor Klem and Kenny, Matt, and Luke Arnold.

Preceding her in death besides her husband was her daughter-in-law, Helen Klem.

Gravesite funeral rites for Doris J. Klem will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dubois County Community Foundation-Sisters of Saint Benedict Endowment.
