Doris A. Greive, 80

, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 5:42 p.m., Saturday, May 18, 2013 at The Waters of Huntingburg.

She was born July 3, 1932 in Ammons, Kentucky to Curtis and Lelia (Bryant) Mitchell.

She married James Greive on April 16, 1955 in Dubois, Indiana.

Doris worked at Buehler’s IGA for over 25 years, retiring in 1997. She enjoyed gardening, watching I.U. basketball and St. Louis Cardinals baseball, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Greive, who died September 19, 1997; one brother, Curtis Mitchell, Jr.; and two sisters, Virginia Lillpop and Thelma Suter.

She is survived by:

Douglas (Kay) Greive – Auburn, IN

Two daughters and two son-in-laws,

Sonya (Jerry) Streicher – Princeton, IN

Kristi (Kevin) Freson – Jasper, IN

Vernon Mitchell – Grandview, IN,

By ten grandchildren: Nicole Englert; Jared Greive; Chao, Curt and Eric Streicher; Andrea Greive; Dustin, Cory, Brady and Zach Freson; three step-grandchildren: Lauren, Christopher and Carol Lynn Payne and four great-grandchildren and one step great grandchild.

Funeral services for Doris A. Greive will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Huntingburg.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., E.D.T., on Tuesday.
