Donald Ray Evans, 87, Petersburg

Donald Ray Evans, 87, of Petersburg, entered into rest on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville.

Donald was born on July 8, 1938, to the late Charlie and Rushie Evans.

Donald enjoyed spending time with his family, collecting knives, fishing, mushroom hunting, and fixing things. He was a man full of many talents. He was constantly building or fixing things. There was nothing he could not fix.

Donald is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Evans; son, Danny (Tammie) Evans; daughter, Keena (Scott) Krieg; grandsons, Josh Gladish and Jaden Guth; granddaughters, Kirstin Gladish and Madisyn Guth; great grandson, Knox Gladish; great granddaughters, Kaia Davidson and Jurney Davidson; sisters, Mona Dickens of Brentwood, Tenn. and Mary Lou Willis of Petersburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Rushie Evans; sisters, Velva (Tood) Flint and Betty Evans; twin sister, Bonnie White; brothers, Kenneth “Kip” Evans and Corp. Ival “Buck” Evans.

Services for Donald will take place at 2 p.m. EDT on Sunday, November 2, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, with visitation from 12 p.m. EDT until service time. Pastor Keith Jenkins will be officiating.
