Donald L. Mathies, 81, Huntingburg

Donald L. Mathies, 81, of Huntingburg, went to his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born September 9, 1936, in Huntingburg to Albert and Jessie (Wilkey) Mathies.

Donald was employed as a truck driver and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

He will be missed by his six children, Tina F. Guerrero of North Carolina, Darrell L. Mathies of Tennessee, Lisa A. Mathies of Ohio, Kevin J. Mathies of Huntingburg, Tammy L. Mathies of Jasper and Robert C. Mathies of Huntingburg; by nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

There will be no funeral services or visitation. Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg has been entrusted with the disposition arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to your local Veterans Services Organization in honor of Donald’s service in the United States Air Force.
