Donald L. ” Don” Bieker, 84, St. Anthony

Donald L. ” Don” Bieker, 84, of St. Anthony, passed away at 5:12 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, in Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

 Don was born in St. Anthony, on January 24, 1936, to Oscar and Viola (Lubbers) Bieker. 

He owned his own construction company, Don Bieker Construction, and was a sergeant on the Huntingburg Police Department. He was a charter member of the St. Anthony Fire Department and was instrumental in building the first St. Anthony Fire Truck. Don enjoyed working and spending time with his family. 

He is survived by three daughters, Donna (James) Carie of Huntingburg, Darlinda (Lee) Petry of Winslow and Dennifer (Brian Angerer) Bieker, of Huntingburg; two sons, Donnie Bieker of Huntingburg and Doug (Millie) Bieker of Huntingburg; 13 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Gloria Petry of Ferdinand, Patty Ahrens of St. Anthony and Sharon (Floyd) Jones of Ireland; three brothers, Bob (Henrietta) Bieker of Jasper, Richard (Kathy) Bieker of Dover, De., and Mark (Sherry) Bieker of Celestine. 

Preceding him in death are two brothers, Oscar and John Bieker. 

Private funeral services will be held at Becher-Kluesner Funeral Homes in Jasper with burial at St. Anthony Cemetery in St. Anthony.
