Donald G. Blume, 73

Donald G. Blume, 73, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 1:12 p.m., on Friday, July 17, 2015 at his residence.

He was born January 13, 1942 in Huntingburg, Indiana, to Gustav S. and Loraine (Denk) Blume. He married Patricia Martin on November 5, 1960 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg.

Mr. Blume was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and St. Mary’s church choir, was a musician, and was a retired ironworker. He loved playing music, riding his motorcycle, going on walks, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia Blume of Huntingburg; one daughter and one son-in-law, Michelle Ann (Larry) Prusz of Blacklick, Ohio; two sons and two daughter-in-laws, Bradly Allen (Debra) Blume of Shiloh, Ill. and Rodney Ray (Susan) Blume of St. Anthony; six sisters and five brother-in-laws, Rose Marie (Ralph) Bartley of Jasper, Jeanette (Frank) Becher of Ferdinand, Phyllis (David) Lilly of Georgetown, Ind., Carole Sue Tabor of Clemmons, N.C., Roberta (Donald) Miller of Longmont, Colo., and Vicki (Steve) Dall of Indianapolis; two brothers and two sister-in-laws, Gus Alan (Deborah) Blume of Ferdinand and Kenneth Ray (Lyn) Blume of Huntingburg; nine grandchildren, Leah Terrill, Bradly Blume Jr., Amanda Konradt, Taylor Prusz, Justin Prusz, Connor Prusz, Lauren Blume, Leslie Blume and Lanette Blume; seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Donald Blume will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2015, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg.  Cremation will take place following the visitation and funeral service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday.  A parish rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
