Donald Earl Francis, 66, Huntingburg

Donald Earl Francis, 66, of Huntingburg, formerly of Monroe, Mich., passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville.

Born November 17, 1950, in Monroe, Donald was the son of Lester and Virginia (Peirce) Francis.  He married the love of his life, Karen L. Burk, on September 1, 1973.  Sadly, she preceded him in death June 15, 2000.

A dedicated family man, Donald had worked for Tecumseh Products and Wal-Mart. He also had worked as a mechanical engineer for various companies in the building trades. Donald enjoyed motorcycles, music and was a sports fan.

Donald leaves to cherish his memory his children, Crystol Brockman of Pierpont, Ohio, Deseri (Joseph Fransted) Francis of Holland, Indiana, Lucrecia (Jason) Rea of Australia and Joshua Francis of Paoli; brothers: Daniel Rock Francis and Roderick Pierce (Trudi) Francis, both of Grand Rapids, Michigan; as well as 12 grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, Donald was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul Francis, John Francis and Lester Francis.

A celebration of Donald’s life will be held at the Allore Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 203 E. Elm Ave., Monroe. Friends may call Saturday from 2 until 9 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday.
