Dolores M. “Jimmi” Mehringer, 94, Jasper

Dolores M. “Jimmi” Mehringer, 94, Jasper, passed away at 7:40 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at Cathedral Health Care Center in Jasper.

Dolores was born in Jasper, Indiana on April 24, 1922 to Edward and Otillia (Hopf) Buehler. She married Robert L. Mehringer on July 19, 1941 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. He preceded her in death on May 26, 2012.

She retired from Jasper Wholesale House. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, their St. Ann’s Society and the Jasper Circle of the Daughters of Isabella. She was a Girl Scout Leader and served on the board of the Providence Home in Jasper. She enjoyed volunteering and spending time with friends.

She is survived by one daughter, Carole Feltner and husband Fred of Jasper; one son, Ron Mehringer and wife Judy of Jasper; four grandchildren, Chad and Gina Mehringer, Maria Sellers, and Mark Feltner; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Heichelbech of Jasper.

Preceding her in death beside her husband were three sisters; Sally Schitter, Lenore Knies, and Annie Schmidt.

Private funeral services for Dolores Mehringer will be held at Becher-Kluesner Funeral Homes, Inc. in Jasper with burial at Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.
