Huntingburg Police Department’s canine handler, Josh Hemmer, and “Esther” accepted a check for $1,200 from Beth Carter, representing the Huntingburg Merchants Association, at the Huntingburg Police Department Monday afternoon.

The Merchants celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Huntingburg Christmas Stroll with a week of events in November, including the Mistletoe Trot, a walk/run fundraiser to help with expenses for the Police Department’s K-9 unit.
