Destination Imagination teams place at global finals

Here are the results for the local Destination Imagination teams who competed in the Global Finals in Knoxville, Tenn. over the weekend.

The Engineering Animals team from Holy Trinity included team members Sean Nord, Ethan Engelberth, Aiden Seifert, Ty Hamlin, and Carter Smith. They tied for 12th place out 78 teams in the Elementary level Engineering challenge, In It Together. They were also the fifth highest ranking team from the United States.

The Rainbow Rockers team from Holy Trinity which included of Wylee Kippenbrock, Levi Welp, Xavier Rasche, Isaac Lorey, and Monica Lorey placed 19th out of 43 teams in the Elementary level Fine Arts challenge Purple group, Vanished. They were also the 15th highest ranked team from the United States in the Purple group. There were two groups for this challenge, Purple group with 43 teams and the Orange group with 40 teams.

Cedar Crest Elementary’s team finished in a three-way tie for 18th place out of 80 teams in the Elementary Division in the Show and Tech technical challenge. Team members include Ashlyn Dilger, Madison Sherman, Ali Wahl, Carter Fleck, Miles Welp, Carson May and Gus Hagedorn.

Jasper Middle School’s team Muggle Worthy finished 30th out of 74 teams in the In It Together engineering challenge. Team members include Casey Haggh, Casandra Merrimon, Harrison Hulsman, Sydney Schmitt, Isabelle Lorey, Logan Meservy and Alexis Christiansen.

Forest Park High School team It’s a Colorful Life finished in a three-way tie for 31st place out of 74 teams in the Vanished fine arts challenge. It’s a Colorful Life members include Maggie Brown, Courtney Borman, Hannah Borden, Audrey Jones, Makayla McKim and Katie Winkler.

In the improvisational challenge, 3-Peat, the Jasper Middle School team Hat Trix finished in 20th place out of 80 teams. It’s members include  Megan Rydberg, Delaney Smith, Ava Harmon, Avery Bartley, Avery Knies, Reid Harmon and Quinn Gunderson.
