Deputies make arrests for false informing and obstruction of justice in stolen vehicle case

Dubois County deputies have arrested two individuals, Richard E Evans of 7007 N 400 E, Dubois, and Rodney G Flick of 4514 W 300 N, Jasper, in relation to the stolen truck.

The two originally reported the truck as being stolen.

Deputies found the reportedly stolen truck on County Road 600N just east of Portersville Road. The pickup was traveling east on County Road 600N and lost control on the gravel road before flipping onto its top. It came to rest in the roadway.

Evans was charged with obstruction of justice, false informing, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

Flick was charged with obstruction of justice and false informing.

The truck, a white 1997 Ford F250 with silver/gray bed, was reported taken from the 4500 block of West County Road 300N near Ireland between 8:15 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. Tuesday evening.
