Deputies investigating personal injury crash
Tuesday, Dubois County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash in which an 82-year-old Jasper man was injured.
According to police, they were called to the scene of the crash involving a 1990 Chevrolet Kodiak on Portersville Road just south of 500 North at about 8:10 a.m.
Deputies arrived on scene to find a 1990 Chevy Kodiak partially in the roadway.
The Chevy Kodiak was driven by Nelson Hoffman, 83, of Jasper.
Hoffman was traveling south on Portersville Road just south of 500 North when for an unknown reason, Hoffman traveled off the right side of the roadway. Hoffman then overcorrected, went left of center and overcorrected again, causing the truck to overturn, losing a load of corn.
The 1990 Chevy Kodiak came to rest on its wheels, facing west.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Memorial Hospital EMS and Haysville First Responders.
No other details are being released at this time but the crash is still under investigation.
