Deputies arrest man for rape, sexual misconduct with a minor, criminal confinement

The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department charged Eddie H. Roos, 64, of 10656 S 200 W, near St. Henry, with rape, sexual misconduct with a minor and criminal confinement Tuesday.

Sunday, police received information regarding allegations that a rape of a juvenile under the age of 16 had occurred. After a forensic interview with the victim was completed and DNA collected from the home where the incident occurred, deputies attempted to locate Roos but were unable to find him until Tuesday morning when they located him at his home.

Officers charged Roos with a Level 3 felony count of rape, a Level 4 felony count of sexual misconduct with a minor, a Level 5 count of sexual conduct with a minor and a Level 6 felony count of criminal confinement.

Roos was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 10:49 a.m.
