Dennis Fred Eisenhut, 88, Torrance, Calif.

Dennis Fred Eisenhut, 88, a long-time resident of Torrance, Calif., passed away on December 30, 2024, in Torrence.

Born in Jasper, Indiana on December 2, 1936, he was the son of Emil and Loretta (Stamm) Eisenhut.

After graduation from Jasper High School in 1954, Dennis enlisted in the U.S. Army, was trained as a radar repair technician, spent two years on active duty in West Germany, and was honorably discharged in 1957.

Dennis then obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering (graduating Summa Cum Laude) from Indiana Institute of Technology in Fort Wayne, Indiana in June 1961. While there, he met and married Jacquelyn Elizabeth Brown on September 4, 1960.

While employed by ITT Federal Labs, they were transferred to the Los Angeles area where he attended UCLA and obtained a Master of Science degree in Engineering in 1967.

He then worked as an attitude control electronics design engineer for 30 years for TRW in Redondo Beach CA.

Dennis was preceded in death by Jacquelyn, his wife of 62 years, in July 2022 and is survived by a daughter, Debra (Scott) Whitcomb, Allen TX: two sons, David Eisenhut, Torrance Calif.; Daniel (Angela) Eisenhut of Hartland Wisc.; a sister, Dorothy (Melvin) Meyer of Dubois; a brother, Darrell (Linda) Eisenhut of Gaithersburg Md.; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Melissa, Trenton, and Zoe and a great-grandson, Samuel.
