Deer vs Motorcycle in Jasper seriously injures man
A deer ran in front of a motorcyclist early Tuesday morning causing $3000 in damages to the bike and sending the driver to the hospital with a broken leg.
Timothy Popp, 43, was driving a 2006 AMF XL Series Motorcycle southeast on Third Ave. at 2:37 a.m., when a deer entered the street. He collided with the deer, killing it and crashing his bike.
Popp possibly broke his leg and was transported by EMS to Memorial Hospital. Later he was LifeFlighted to St. Mary’s in Evansville for treatment of his injuries.
Ruxers towed the motorcycle.
