Dee Sickbert, 66, Dale

Dee Sickbert, 66, of Dale, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Carmel Hospital, Carmel, Indiana.

She was born on November 16, 1959, in Huntingburg to Paul and Mildred (Kunkler) Hemmer.  

Dee graduated from Heritage Hills High School and then married Bruce Sickbert on September 30, 1978, at Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg. They enjoyed going to auctions, collecting UHL pottery and antiques.  Dee was a member of Salem UCC, a 50-year member of the Ferdinand American Legion Auxiliary, and was a childcare provider.  

She was a fan of Cardinal Baseball and I.U. basketball, but enjoyed watching any kind of sport. 

Dee was a shopping enthusiast; always willing to participate, as well as making a warm and loving home for her family, surrounding them with her love and attention.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Matthew Sickbert, in 2022; and a brother, Larry Hemmer.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce Sickbert of Dale; a daughter, Cinthia (Heath) Siddons of Dale; a daughter-in-law, Erica (nee: Gasser) Sickbert of Dale; two sisters, Pat Ewing of Chrisney, Linda Hurly of Richland; a brother, David Hemmer of Evansville; five grandchildren, Maci and Graham Hubster, Harley Sickbert, Kennedy and Paisley Siddons.

Services will be held at Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. EST.  Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST, Thursday, December 4th, 2025 and also one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home.  Pastor Jeff Donihue will officiate the service.  Burial will take place at a later date.
