DCBroadcasting launches Jolly FM
103.3FM WAXL is set to relaunch as Jolly FM at midnight on Thanksgiving Day, November 23. As the only station licensed to Santa Claus, Indiana, Jolly FM will feature a 24-hour Christmas format, including a unique “Countdown to Christmas” at the top of every hour and “Santa Tracking” on Christmas Eve and other holiday-related programming until the end of the season.
“As a Santa Claus-licensed station, we are committed to the community to provide a Christmas-themed format. We hope to provide the soundtrack to everyone’s holiday season, whether you live and work in the Jolly FM listening area or are traveling to the area,” said General Manager Bill Potter. “From retail stores to destination locations, to local events, you can count on Jolly FM to spread the Christmas spirit a couple thousand watts at a time.”
Jolly FM is also excited to partner with the Actor’s Community Theatre as they obtained the exclusive broadcast rights to the full-length radio play “Yes Virginia, There is a Santa Claus.” The play will be performed live at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center in Jasper, Indiana, during the first weekend of December and then broadcast on Saturday, December 16 on Jolly FM.
Jolly FM will also continue WAXL’s long tradition of carrying high school sports from both Heritage Hills High School and South Spencer High School, as well as continuing to be a proud affiliate of the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers.
After launch, Jolly FM can be found by tuning to 103.3FM or by listening online at jollyfm.com.
After the holidays, the radio station will revert to its current format as The Fix.
Jolly FM is a part of the DCBroadcasting family of companies, including 100.9FM WBDC, 18 WJTS TV in Jasper, Indiana and WORX/WXGO in Madison, Indiana.
