David Ray Dodson III, 29

David Ray Dodson III, 29, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 6:25 a.m., Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville due to complications from a gastrointestinal hemorrhage that occurred on Sunday, October 19, 2014.
He was born June 9, 1985 in Huntingburg, Indiana, to David Ray Dodson Jr. and Carolyn D. (Dowdell) Dodson.
David was a fourth generation Kimball International employee working at Kimball Office 15th Street in Jasper as a furniture builder. He was a 2003 graduate of Southridge High School and member of the Southridge Band; a member of Boy Scout Troop #181 where he was an Eagle Scout and inducted into the Order of the Arrow; an avid cat lover; and enjoyed playing video games.
He was preceded in death by: two grandmothers, Rose Marie Jones Estranera of Honolulu, Hawaii and Viola Reinbold Dowdell of Huntingburg.
He is survived by his mother, Carolyn D. Dodson of Huntingburg; his father, David Ray Dodson, Jr. of Corydon; maternal grandfather, Ronald Dowdell of Huntingburg; paternal grandparents, David Ray Dodson Sr. and Mary Dodson of Jasper; one half-sister, Kimberly Dodson of Corydon; and one niece, Aleeyah Dodson of Corydon.
Funeral services for David Ray Dodson, III will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Mayo Cemetery near Duff. The services will be officiated by Larry Mickler.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 12:00-2:00 p.m., on Sunday, the day of the service.
