David L. Sermersheim, 75, Jasper, passed away at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at home.

David was born in Jasper, Indiana on September 26, 1941, to Leroy and Irma (Schulte) Sermersheim.

David is a retired factory worker. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and watching Westerns on television.

He is survived by one daughter, Laura Boswell and her husband Mark of Texas; one grandson, Andrew Boswell of Texas; his mother, Irma Sermersheim of Jasper; one sister, Elaine Kluesner and her husband Tom of Jasper; three brothers, Fred Sermersheim and his wife Nora of Jasper, Ron Sermersheim of Jasper and Kevin Sermersheim and his wife Cindy of Loogootee. several nieces and nephews

Preceding him in death are his father, Leroy Sermersheim and one brother, Gregory Sermersheim.

Funeral services for David L. Sermersheim will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday November 14, 2016) at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the church on Monday.
