David H. “Unk” Laramore, 70, Jasper

David H. “Unk” Laramore, 70, of Jasper, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville.
David was born in Linton, Ind., on October 26, 1946, to Chester E. and Mildred E. (Hunter) Laramore.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Linton. He was a graduate of the Linton Stockton High School Class of 1964 and Purdue University in 1968, with a degree in Industrial Management.
He retired from the Indiana State Department of Transportation, Federal Aid Division. He enjoyed Purdue athletics, playing cards, and visiting with family.
Surviving are his brother, Dr. George E. (Shelley) Laramore, of Seattle, Washington, and sister, Jane E. (Kerry) Newsom, of Jasper; four nephews, Greg, Jason and Parker Laramore and David Newsom; two nieces, Cora (Adam) Newsom Massey and Presha Laramore; seven great-nephews and great-nieces, Camden and Avery Laramore, Reese and Cooper Newsom, Riley, Jensen, and Landry Massey.
Funeral services for David Laramore will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday, at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton, Indiana, with burial to follow in the Fairview Cemetery of Linton. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home and from 10 am until the time of the funeral on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Purdue University, Wheeler Mission Ministries, or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, through the funeral home.
