David Evans, 71, Newburgh

David Evans, 71, Newburgh, died August 29, 2016, at the Deaconess Charlier Hospice Center.

Born in Huntingburg on June 9, 1945 to Fennith and Alma Irene (Harris) Evans.

He was an avid Dale Earnhardt and Nascar fan. He loved his pets and enjoyed traveling in his motorhome. He was a member of the F.O.E. # 427 and a media member of the Family Worship Center in Baton Rouge, La.

He is survived by his wife Marianne Evans; children, Deborah (Rick) Walter, Jason (Crystal) Evans and David Jr. (Amy) Evans; sisters, Janice Houchin and Carol Anderson; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Leon and Gary.

Visitation will be Friday, September 2, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m. CDT at Fuller Funeral Home.

Funeral services are planned for Saturday, September 3, 2016, at 11:30 a.m. CDT at the Fuller Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Little Pigeon Baptist Church Cemetery.
