David E. Lagenour, 58

David E. Lagenour, 58, of Jasper, passed away at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015, in St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.

He was born on June 4, 1956 in French Lick, Indiana to Elvan and Ruby (Self) Lagenour. He married Deborah Ziegler on August 30, 1975 in Truelove United Methodist Church.

David was a 1978 graduate of Jasper High School and a 1985 graduate of Vincennes University. He worked in property management at St. Joseph Hospital in Huntingburg for 28 years. He attended Truelove United Methodist Church. His hobbies included playing cards (especially cinch) and coin collecting.He was an avid sports fan and followed the Oakland A’s and Raiders as well as the Jasper Wild Cats. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Lagenour; two daughters, Jennifer Hayes and husband Jeff and Holly Zehr and husband Derek, both of Jasper; son, Hans Lagenour of Jasper; four grandchildren, Lauren and Marian Hayes, Grant and Scarlett Zehr; three sisters, Amanda Huff of Tennessee, Nora (Judi) McCarty and husband Jessie of Jasper and Joyce Zehr and husband Richard of Birdseye; one brother, Donald Lagenour and wife Trish of Jasper.

Preceding him in death beside his parents is one sister Gladys and one brother Lonnie who died in infancy.

Funeral services for David Lagenour will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel with burial to follow in the Truelove Community Cemetery, Loogootee, Indiana. The Rev. Michelle Qualkenbush will officiate.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
