David E. Blair, 81, Jasper

David E. Blair, 81, passed away on Friday evening, June 5, 2026, at Deaconess Memorial Medical Center in Jasper, Indiana.

He was a native of Louisville, Kentucky, a retired Industrial Engineer, and owner of Dave’s Greenhouse and Nursery.

Born in Louisville, Kentucky, David attended DuPont Manual High School and the University of Kentucky for his education.  

David married in 1965 and built a life centered on family and faith. David enjoyed making people laugh and had a love for woodworking and watching nature’s beauty (especially his flower gardens and hummingbirds). His faith grew stronger as he aged, and David became an avid Bible student.

David leaves behind his wife of 61 years, the former Cheryl Goodman; his beloved dogs, Heidi and PJ; brother-in-law, Robert Goodman, Jr.; niece, Ashley Rutledge and her children; nephew, Wade Goodman; and many cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218, on June 13, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 pm. David will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park.
