Darlene E. Hassfurther, 87, Ferdinand

Darlene E. Hassfurther, 87, Ferdinand, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper.

Darlene was born November 28, 1933 in Celestine to Frank and Lauretta (Schulz) Hasenour.

She was united in marriage to Linus E. Hassfurther on May 3, 1955, in Saint Celestine Church. Linus preceded her in death on July 24, 2020.

Darlene was a farmer and a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and crochet. She was a member of Christ the King Parish, Saint Ferdinand Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Sheila (Cliff) Fleck of Jasper and Cindy Hassfurther of Ferdinand; three sons, Russell (Tina) Hassfurther, Bill Hassfurther, and Andy Hassfurther, all of Ferdinand; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by a son, Tony Hassfurther. 

The visitation will be private. A funeral mass will be held in Saint Ferdinand Church at 10 a.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The mass for Darlene will not be private.
