Daria Petry, 56, Saint Anthony

Daria Petry, 56, of Saint Anthony, lost her battle to cancer July 7, 2018, at the Linda E White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana.

Daria was born to Dolores (White) Wigodinski and Dennis Wigodinski on December 6, 1961, at Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Daria graduated from East Brunswick Vocational Technical High School where she received her cosmetology license. She practiced cosmetology for many years in New Jersey while pursuing a real estate license. After earning her real estate and insurance license in New Jersey she moved to Dale.

Daria married her husband, Michael Petry, on March 9, 2001, in Sevier County, Tennessee.

Daria enjoyed working for the United States Postal Service. She began her career in Huntingburg and Jasper, eventually becoming the NFTI in Holland, Indiana.

Daria is survived by her husband, Michael Petry of Saint Anthony; her parents, Dolores (White) and Dennis Wigodinski of Jamesburg, N.J.; her children, Derek Wigodinski and his wife Kim of Jasper; Kevin Brown and his wife Brittney of Chicago, and Michael W. Petry Jr. of Saint Anthony; her stepsons, Chad Petry of Holland and Adam Petry and his wife Brandi of Birdseye; her four siblings, Denise McPherson (Brad) of Winslow, Dennis Wigodinski (Bobby) Beachwood of New Jersey, Debra Gogel (Chris) of LaGrange, Ga., and Darlene Alexandersen (Michael) of Bordentown, N.J.; her 13 grandchildren, whom she adored, Damien, Deontae, Mikayla, Passion, Hayley, Brody, Marly, Chloe, Nathaniel, Leon, Laney, Emerson and Rayce; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Victory Temple Assembly of God. Pastor Joel Rivera will officiate. (Victory Assembly of God – 4245 Baden Strasse, Jasper.)
